Restylane Procedure Overview

When you choose to have a Restylane procedure done at Abramson Facial Plastic Surgery & Rejuvenation Center, your procedure will go as follows:

  • Restylane will be injected into the mid deep dermis, in tiny amounts using an ultra fine needle.
  • The treatment area may be massaged to optimize contouring of the gel.
  • The gel then integrates into dermal tissue, attracts and binds to water molecules. This binding process then creates volume and fullness to smooth out wrinkles.
  • The average treatment will last for six months – twice as long as collagen.
  • Touch-up treatments are usually done twice a year.
  • There is little to no discomfort and no down-time, as well as little to no bruising.
  • Patients are able to reapply makeup and return to work or normal activities.
