About the Procedure
During the procedure, Dr. Abramson will perform liposuction to remove fat from a donor area on the body such as the buttocks, abdomen, or inner thighs. He uses a closed system to harvest fat without being exposed to air. Harvested fat is then re-injected into various areas of the face to fill in contour irregularities around the temples, cheeks, nasolabial folds, mouth and lips.Next, the fat is immediately purified and injected into the intended areas using a micro-cannula. This can easily be done using a local aesthetic although many patients elect to receive some form of anesthesia. Once the fat cells integrate they can grow naturally with the body just like the surrounding cells. Aftercare and Recovery
Immediately following the procedure the area will be numb from the local anesthetic. Expect swelling for the first few days after the procedure.
