Intensif RF Microneedling uses phase-controlled radio frequency energy. This proprietary technology enables, for the first time, a unique algorithm designed to deliver energy in a micro pattern for a more uniform distribution of energy, resulting in more effective volumetric heating of the skin that provides better results. Intensif RF can treat all skin types without the risks sometimes associated with other technologies and can be used to treat both the body and the face.
Intensif RF can be used for multiple medical and aesthetic procedures including micro-ablation, non-ablative skin rejuvenation and more:
- Skin tightening and firming (face, neck, chest, hands, abdomen, etc.)
- Acne scarring (chicken pox scars, surgical scars)
- Stretch marks
- Body contouring
About the Procedure
Intensif RF is a minimally invasive, skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a hand held device that contains fine needles. The needles are used to puncture the skin to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin. When Intensif RF is combined with Placental Growth Factors the results are dramatic. Fine lines, wrinkles, skin discoloration, and acne scars are greatly diminished revealing healthy, smoother skin.
Intensif RF works by delivering short pulses of RF energy through an array of 25 sterilised, gold plated micro-needles. The RF energy heats the papillary and reticular dermis, promoting skin improvement. Multiple adjustable parameters such as depth of needle penetration, energy level and pulse duration enables Dr. Peter Abramson and his staff of experts to provide maximum results for each patient, regardless of skin type or skin color.
Throughout the course of treatment, damaged tissue will be replaced by new, healthy and younger looking tissue. The treated skin will become smoother, tighter and more vital. As most of the energy is delivered directly into the inner layer of the skin, patients will experience minimal downtime and may resume normal activities immediately after treatment.
How Many Treatments are Needed?
Even after the first treatment, many patients are very surprised at how much better their skin looks and feels. Depending on the area of the face or body being treated, patients will generally require three to five sessions.
Aftercare and Recovery
There are no major side effects with Intensif RF. Prior to the procedure, a topical numbing cream will be applied to offer maximum comfort. After the procedure, skin will become slightly red and swollen and will subside within 24-48 hours.
