Is it OK to do part of your facial plastic surgery at one time and wait until later to do the rest? Dr. Abramson explains…

“Many times, when a patient comes in for a full face evaluation and Rhinoplasty is part of this, their question is, ‘well, if I don’t do it all at once, what would you recommend I do at various times.’ Sometimes this is ok, as we can do things in steps if the patient so desires. Many times, it is much more appropriate and much more balanced to do certain surgeries at the same time or do all of the surgeries that are recommended, such as doing upper eyelids without lower eyelids we can sometimes do, but sometimes it makes the patient look unbalanced and it would be more effective to do both at the same time. And, it works the other way around as well, doing lower eyelids without upper eyelids. We give our thorough and honest opinion about this, so that the patient will be able to make a knowledgeable decision on where to proceed next. And many times what we will also do is create several different treatment plans so a patient can determine what might be best for them at this time, and the things that they may want to wait on.”

If multiple cosmetic surgeries have been suggested or you are not sure how much you would need to have done to achieve the results you want, computer imaging can help give you a realistic mock up. Schedule a consultation with Dr. Abramson to find out more.
